Breast Ultrasound Screening

As Early Detection is Everything!

We are thrilled to announce that Drift Away Therapeutic Massage & Holistic Wellness Center is collaborating with HerScan to offer monthly breast ultrasound screening events, starting on April 24th at our Center.

This initiative aims to provide the women in our community with convenient access to early detection services for breast cancer.

Early detection is crucial in the fight against breast cancer. When identified at its earliest, localized stages, the 5-year relative survival rate is 99%. Regular screenings empower women to take proactive steps in maintaining their health and well-being.

HerScan's breast ultrasound screenings are painless, free from compression and radiation, and typically take about 20 minutes. This non-invasive method can detect cancers that may not be visible through mammography or physical exams alone, especially in women with dense breast tissue. While mammograms are effective, they can miss cancers in dense breasts because both dense tissue and tumors appear white on the images, making it challenging to distinguish between the two. Ultrasound technology, however, can image all the way to the chest wall, providing a clearer view in such cases.

We are proud and excited to collaborate with HerScan to bring this vital service to our community. We encourage all women to prioritize their health by taking advantage of these screenings.
